Time to Minimize the Desktop
With NaNoWriMo just a bit over a day away, I decided it is time to really buckle down and get my writing stations put together. I almost have my music put together. Today's project: Cleaning up that dang desktop. Have you ever noticed that, try as you might, icons and files and who knows what else always seems to clutter up that screen space?
I sat on down and decided that just wasn't going to do. Distractions. That's all those items were. First I threw all the loose items into a folder and tucked it away. Then came removing program shortcuts. I left the vitals: Internet and Photo Editing (for my mental reprieves). Time for a snazzy background that keeps me focused...check! Then I saw back, smiled at the orderliness...and bit back the urge to open the word file and start to write! Looks like it is working so far!
Now to slap it onto my netbook. And...done!
And -drumroll- for your viewing pleasure: a screen shot. Note the one extra thing that will need to change: No facebook being open on the taskbar! Tsk tsk...
I am so ready for this...

Some of you have been asking for the image I used for the desktop...here it is! I will post the version with the arrows, and without. I have some other awesome WriMo items I have found in my scouring of the nets that I will try to post tomorrow! Enjoy!
