WIP Day - It Has Begun!

Caffeine.  Sugar high.  Sore back and aching fingers.  Early onset arthritis.  Loss of coherent speech.  Racing mind.  Insomnia.

Must be NaNoWriMo!

*sings*
"Must be WriMo.  Must be WriMo.  Must be WriMo, WriMo time!"
(I think my sanity is already shot...)

That is right, people.  It has begun!
Yesterday marked the first day of NaNoWriMo.  I had meant to stay up until midnight and write as soon as the clock allowed.  Well, as soon as 11 pm hit, I was out.  Lucky for me though, my hubby stayed home the next day.  He was sick, but still was amazing by keeping the boys in the living room and out of my hair.

And I wrote.

By the end of day one, I managed to bust out 5,132 words.  Whaaaaaaaat...  So awesome.
I am pretty happy with that word count.  For the first thirty minutes or so I just sat staring at the screen.  But the words finally came... and my fingers took over.

It feels good.

Here is to hoping today can be awesome as well!

PN Update: So, I am trying to get my synopsis just right.  You know, the one for the back of the book.  For Amazon.  The one that will hopefully get someone to actually want to read this thing.  Have I mentioned how much I totally hate writing this blurb? Really do... this one thing is what will put off my book being published.  Grr to it.

Well, off I go to get my mind in gear and squeeze some more word count out amidst diaper changes, dance fests, and kiddo cuddles.

Are you doing NaNoWriMo?  How is your word count?
Any tips on writing that blurb??

HAPPY WRITING!

Yay for NaNo! And way to go busting out tht impressive wordcount. :) I'm NaNoing for the first time, just to have fun. I've got another WIP taking a break at the moment, and it's great to work on something new!

Good luck with NaNo-- and with the synopsis for Prison Nation! Those things are so tough.

Whoa! Over 5,000 the first day??? You're amazing! I'm not doing NaNo this year, but I have a goal of adding 30,000 to my WIP to finish a first draft.

Best of luck with your PN synopsis!

You're doing awesome! My words count is just average right now, but I really ought to start getting ahead for when the dreaded second week rolls around. (Gaahh, gotta hate it! The bad hype makes it worse.) Good luck with the blurb! :)
